The Book of Genesis story of Joseph receives a handsome children's picture book, with lavish full-color illustrations reminiscent of ancient Egyptian artwork. Joseph's brothers become more jealous than ever when their father gives him an especially beautiful multihued coat, and they sell him into slavery. He eventually rises to power when the pharaoh asks him to interpret some disconcerting royal nightmares about an impending famine, and reunites with his brothers, forgiving this devastating example of sibling rivalry at its worst.
